More from Simsresource.
There will be new study options off the bookshelves.
Fire Prevention will make Sims better at extinguishing fires on their own, as well as being slightly less panicky when a fire erupts in the first place.
Anger Management will give them the edge when something occurs that would usually make them furious, as well as help calm them down once they are furious.
Lifelong Happiness will help Sims keep their aspirations higher for longer!
Physiology will teach Sims more about how their bodies work, making building body skill and keeping their figure easier.
Couple Counselling will gibe Sims a new interaction: "Repair relationship with…" which they can use to help heal relationships between married or dating Sims who might be going through a rough patch.

 NZ still has a release date of August 29.
I also see Spore is due out Sept 5, and would have thought they'd split those two dates slightly more.

Yup, that was the thing with the delayed release date, AL was coming out on Sep 4th, and Spore the day after, i'm wondering if they scrapped the delay for that reason? even still, a week is a bit close together even.
Personally i'd be happy to wait a few weeks extra if we knew they would spend time searching for bugs in the wait time.

Yes I'm the same. It's such a shame that now it's pretty much a given that each release is going to have bugs which will need patching.
Personally I think they should send the beta versions off around the world to a select few, and we should get to test it! We'd find all those little buggies within a week! LOL

lol the BBS is cluttered within 12 hours of the release date! Thats a pretty good idea, pity they will never implement it..

I've seen it in a few places now that this EP will also have butlers (YAY). Also the new neighbourhood will be called Belladonna Cove, with a giant statue of Bella. (Wouldn't it be cool if the REAL Bella could be found?)
And one of the biggest things for me is that finally our sims will be able to put those pesky little infants DOWN somewhere other than the floor. I've seen it repeatedly that there will be a play gym for those babies to lie under.
Oh and have I mentioned anywhere yet, that the witches will be able to fly on broomsticks?

You didn't  that sounds awesome!
and PLAY GYMS!!! YAYS! That was one thing that was always kinda wierd for me, If I put bub on the floor, I at least put him on a blanket! not just.... on the floor :O
yay! play gyms!!!
Butlers i'm not too concered with, I never used them in sims 1, so I have nothing much to go on except that they seemed a waste of money!

Okay, so I've managed to have a look at the chat transcripts over at Sims2.com, and have a few things from that.
* No longer sure about the play gyms, the Maxoids only talked about new infant interactions.
* There will be 2 medicine cabinets which enable tooth brushing in THIS EP.
* Witches still fly on broomsticks.
* Witchiness is not hereditary.
* Witchiness is curable.
* Sims can walk over to their neighbour's apartment, knock on the door, and walk in (like dorms in Uni I think).
* You cannot be a landlord.
* If you become Best Friends with a landlord, he may give you cheap rent. You can marry a landlord, but he will then be 'unemployed' and no longer your landlord.
* The butler does not live with you. He comes to work, and leaves.
* It is sounding like this is the last EP - the 'official' word from the Maxoids is that there are no more EP's currently being worked on, and that after this one, the only released content will be through the new Sims 2 store. (Which here downunder, we can't access).
* Specs are the same as FT.

Oh awesomeness!
I'm really crapped off about that store. They should never have opened the stupid thing. Whats the point of releasing content on there that only ONE DAMN COUNTRY can access?
Not to mention the items they are releasing are ummm well, bad to be honest - I have pictures, wanna see?
Anyways, so I am looking forward to AL, though I proably wont be able to get it for a while after it is released.
