So I've started a whole new (legacy type) neighbourhood. My aim is to populate it with only "The Family' and their spouses/partners, which of course will have to be townies etc. However, now I'm hitting my 3rd generation, I'm wanting to kill some off, but I don't want to cheat or rely on the tried and true methods of locking them in a room and starving them or drowning them.

So for the first time since I began playing Sims 2, I'm trying to get some of them killed off in the other vast variety of ways. But oh boy - no joy as yet! I can't seem to get my 2nd gen middle child's spouse electrocuted, killed by lightening, or hit by a satellite. The whole family are far too clean for death by flies! LOL He seems to ignore my instructions to sit outside in the snow, so freezing to death isn't happening either.

Oh I hope I succeed soon! Reading the boards over on Sims 2, anyone can pretty much get a sim killed 'naturally' except me!

ROFL, well bluesim isnt that always the way of it? anytime you WANT to keep your sims alive, they start dropping off like nothing else, then you try to kill them, and the buggers just. wont. die!
The sattelite thing, well the one and only time I tried it it took over a sim week for her to die :)
do you have any ghosts on the lot? death by fright seems to be a good one, you could try killing off a pregenant sim by just ignoring the hunger want, you said they were clean, so getting cockroaches and then sick would be out of the question I guess....
hmm, I have only ever once had a sim electrocuted, and they didnt die, same with lightening..... have you tried making sure there is a puddle of water in front of the broken thing? I read somewhere that that is supposed to work wonders for electrocution
you could always use the scissors  quick and easy death!
Good luck with it and let us know how it goes :D
