There are new screens and a video over at TheSims3.com.

If anyone wants to take a look at the video and come tell me about it I'd be grateful! (Can't view it here).

Two things I notice from the screenshots (no, not the hideous looking fish lol)

Letterboxes - may it be possible that they're movable? In one of the screens, it seems to be kind of sideways in the lot, rather than front on out on the road.

The other thing I noticed was the car/driveway right up next to/in front of the house. I wonder if they're more compatible with our houses? (As in stairs right next to them for instance).

The video didn't really show anything new blue, it was more just a little advertisement thing.

1. Teeth brushing!!!! right at the start the guy (who is in a bathrobe and bunny slippers xD) is brushing his teeth!
2. The decorations in the neighbourhood seem to be customisable, either that, or if your sim is in a high profile job, they will have pics of themselves around the town.
3. you can go anywhere, and do anything while in the town, and the whole thing keeps going, everyone ages, etc etc..
4. The sims are slightly scary looking, they look like little wax dolls, or as the TSC members said, 'like they are modeled out of clay'

Thats about all I can remember right now, but yeah, nothing new, just another advertisement for it.
I'm interested to see how it looks come the end of the year, i'm hoping the coding is about finished by now and that they are working on the pretties, cause the neighbourhood just doesnt live up to standards. right now the graphics are much worse than sims2!

When I was looking at the screens yesterday I was thinking that too, that the graphics are just like Sims 2.

It was just the possibility of a movable letterbox etc that excited me.

Toothbrushing! YAY!!!! It seems just too weird that they don't. It would be so cool if the decorations around the town 'grew' as your sim went up in the ranks of their job. Hehehe Imagine what sort of decorations the mayor would have!

Quite honestly, I think The Sims 3 looks awful. It reminds me of those huge building project brochures, where they have fake people and fake houses. Sims are definitely creepy.

I think I'll wait for different reactions when it comes out. I can only imagine the System Requirements! If you want total power and ultimate graphics, how high end will you need to go?

The sims division people have said that they are trying their best to have system requirements the same as the Sims 2 system requirements, however, we still dont know what AL requirements are going to be, not to mention that there will probably be another SP out before Sims 3 release.

I think the gameplay looks great, I agree with Dane on the graphics side. It really needs some work!
