How about listing our favourite pc games? It all started for me with Pharoah - so I still have a soft spot for that old game, and go back to it from time to time. Zoo Tycoon (original, not 2) - loved it. It's a hard road building the perfect zoo, don't you know? Caesar IV CivCIty Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Monopoly Tycoon (for simplicity - just a good old fashioned game which doesn't require a lot of thinking!) Of course, Sims 1! Tropico Gold - not a bad game. Imagine simcity on a deserted island and there you are! Theme Hospital (sadly the remake, Hospital Tycoon, just didn't measure up, I was so disappointed!) Anyone else got some odd favourites? |

Hehehe That is eerie! Tropico 2 Pirates Cove - I'm like you and can't finish the story game yet... they keep casting me adrift! LOL I recently had to re-purchase Pharaoh, (disk got scratched) so I looked far and wide for the one with Cleopatra. You can't get that here in NZ anymore so I resorted to buying from an Aussie trader who gave me a great deal. (Hehehe And I keep going back to him every time I want an older game I really recommend CivCity. I picked it up on sale here for $29.95, and so glad I did! Along the lines of Pharoah (without the pyramids though I was thinking the other day though, isn't it funny how the game companies put out bigger and better, and yet here I am, happy with some of the older stuff still? |

oh yes, and I know why All thos "older" "crap" games, may be older, and not so intricate, and lok much worse, but they aren't full of bugs, and they are good for casual gamers! you dont HAVE to know how to kill 400 robotic monsters in 3 minutes to get through the game.... you just play, and enjoy |

Oh yes, how very true!!! All those building type games... Theme Hospital, Zoo Tycoon, Rollercoaster Tycoon, etc etc - they also all appeal very much to the control freak in me. Give me a game I can CONTROL!!!! Muahahahaha!!!! |

So I've been 'gone' over a week now... and here's why. I discovered another AWESOME game!!! Again, it's slightly older, (perhaps 3 years?), but boy, it's had me challenged. Restaurant Empire. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME game. Basically, you choose the tutorial/campaign route and meet a variety of challenges, running your own restaurant chain. And I must say, some of those scenarios had me pulling my hair out at times! LOL Anyway, I finally got to the end of it, and decided I'd enjoyed it so much I was going to do the campaign again (there is a sandbox mode, but not everything is available in that). So consequently, as I'm playing it through again, I'm still not around much! LOL |

Zoo Tycoon, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and I played Caesar for a while too! Totally loved it all! SWAT 4 was a game I enjoyed playing too whenever I was stuck with all guys. Hmmm... and there was another game too. SciFi meets schooter game. I can't remember the name at all, sadly. |

The boxes and such were blank, so I had a rough start, but other than that I had so much fun. Although, the game would stop working after you decorate your restaurant. MALL TYCOON. Oh, so many tycoon in the game titles I see. |

Maybe it's something to do with us being simmers that we like the tycoon ones too... I just got Circus Empire - not as good as Restaurant Empire IMO but still quite challenging! Also having a play around with Vegas: Make it Big! (Looks like the same people who did Monopoly Tycoon - and I'm quite enjoying it). Can you tell I'm trying to keep occupied until AL comes out?? LOL!!!! |

I have been searching for good games, but unfortunately, when your flat broke all I can afford to get is the one hour trials I either need to learn how to arr them or find them for free! |

The following links are an Aussie trader I buy a lot off. He's really cheap (ie. even with airmail I'm STILL paying less than I would be if I bought them here in NZ). www.stores.ebay.com.au/arb-games Oztion: www.oztion.com.au/myauctions/arb_games.aspx |
